FORMFTY MANUFACTURE — a FORMFTY HUB company
FORMFTY MANUFACTURE makes industrial 3D printed prototypes in Taipei, Taiwan, with SLA, DLP/LCD, SLS, MJF, metal LPBF and PolyJet handled through one point of contact; unfinished (white) parts up to 300×300×200 mm get standard 48-hour shipping, as fast as 24 hours. Tell us what the part is for, how many, the material, quality level, budget and lead time, and we choose the process. Appearance, functional and metal parts can all be made and tested first. Once the prototype is signed off, the same 3D printing setup can go straight into low-volume production.

We pick the process from the part, not from the machine list
The same part can need a different process depending on whether it's for a looks review, an assembly check or a functional test. So we ask first: what the part has to do, how many you need, what the material and surface must be, and what the budget and deadline are. Then we choose the 3D printing process, or tell you when CNC, vacuum casting or another method would serve you better. Pick the wrong process and you typically get a beautiful appearance model whose snap fits break on first assembly, or a functional part that passed testing but looks too rough to show a customer.
Seven processes, one point of contact
- SLA resin printing
- Fine surface and crisp detail. Usually used for appearance models and fit checks.
- DLP / LCD resin printing
- Small, detailed parts. Good when many small parts can be printed in one run.
- SLS nylon
- Nylon, no support structures. Suited to functional parts, snap fits and hinges.
- MJF (Multi Jet Fusion)
- Nylon parts with consistent surface and dimensions. Suited to low-volume functional parts.
- Metal LPBF (SLM)
- Laser-melted metal powder, for functional metal parts and complex internal channels.
- PolyJet
- Multi-material and multi-color, for display models and samples that combine rigid and soft materials.
Typical uses are a general guide. The final choice depends on the part's requirements and a material review.
We check the model before printing
Every file gets a model health check when it comes in: file format, broken faces, whether the mesh is closed, normal direction, non-manifold edges, self-intersections, units (mm or inch), size, build orientation and center of gravity. Walls that are too thin get flagged and sent back to you, so you can accept the risk or fix the model. We don't print first and hope for the best. Doing this before printing saves days compared with finding a thin section snapped on the finished part and reprinting the whole batch.
- SLA minimum wall
- 1.0 mm
- SLS minimum wall
- 0.8 mm
- MJF minimum wall
- 1.0 mm
These are the default thresholds in FORMFTY's quoting system. Clear parts and structural parts should be thicker.
What to send
STL, STEP/STP, IGES/IGS or OBJ. No 3D file yet? A sketch or photos are enough to start the conversation. Also let us know the quantity, when you need it, and any color, finish or logo requirements.
After printing
We can sand, paint, dye, polish and plate; apply matte, gloss, textured or soft-touch rubber finishes; add logos by laser engraving, screen printing, pad printing, UV printing or film; and assemble the parts if you need it.

Questions we often get
- How fast can I get a 3D printed prototype?
- Unfinished (white) parts up to 300×300×200 mm ship in 48 hours as standard, and as fast as 24 hours. If you need painting, other finishing or larger quantities, lead time is confirmed separately.
- Where can I get industrial 3D printing in Taipei?
- FORMFTY MANUFACTURE is at No. 40, Sec. 3, Zhongshan N. Rd., Zhongshan Dist., Taipei (FORMFTY 3D Printing and Product Design Research Center). SLA, DLP/LCD, SLS, MJF, metal LPBF and PolyJet are all handled through one point of contact.
- Can you make a prototype without a 3D file?
- Yes. A sketch or photos are enough to start. If modeling is needed, MORE DESIGN can start from product definition, and if you have a physical part, we can 3D scan it first.
- How accurate are your 3D printed parts?
- ±0.1 mm within 100 mm. Beyond 100 mm, a cumulative tolerance applies.
- What file formats do you accept?
- STL, STEP/STP, IGES/IGS and OBJ. If you don't have a 3D file yet, a sketch or photos are enough to start.
- Will my prototype files stay confidential?
- We can sign an NDA before we look at your files. Confidential projects are handled by a dedicated person and shipped under a code name.
